No software with DVD to play on the windows 7 machine. Downloaded Cyberlink DVD 12 works great and the quality BD is amazing on my HP monitor!! cheap and very nice! – By cju747

Outstanding data drive. Quiet. Fast. Solid. I am ordering my third drive for another machine. Software? Licensing fees for Blu-Ray are not trivial, so don’t expect any at this price. – By Christopher S. Mooney

Does not come with software but that is why its a little cheaper…. If you bought this and thought it was all you need thats just bad research on your part. Not a reason to give asus a bad review.
